Start up web company (third party automotive ad provider) seeks interim COO (CEO like activities) – North America Division for immediate placement. The Company is a start up located currently in Germany seeking to expand its operations to North America (USA/CAN) and worldwide.

Our main business operation facility for the North America division will be located in Houston or Dallas.

We are seeking for someone who is web, tech and automotive savvy, a US citizen, familiar with usual US/CAN sales culture and customer demands but possesses certain knowledge of world affairs.

You will have the opportunity to actively participate in presenting ideas and making decisions which will influence in part which way the company is going to take on a North America level.

Please do not apply if you only expect to receive orders and fulfill them, we are looking for someone creative who can bring founder’s spirit into the company and is a lateral thinker.

Duties to be executed include:

1. Report directly to CEO (could be considered equivalent to a COO position).

2. Create and implement business development and planning strategies with CEO.

3. Create necessary internal positions, screen employees and form management team to delegate specific operations to new team members.

4. Create and operate appropriate business systems that insure seamless operations of a unified company.

5. Create and implement appropriate sales, promotion and marketing strategies to increase traffic and advertising revenue.

6. Oversee all outsourcing services (legal, personnel, logistics, sales, marketing, metrics, administration, research, etc.).

7. Create and manage customer relationships, customer service, feedback analysis and response, development of new products and new revenue streams (additional site advertising, logistics services, additional services that add value to the company).

8. Conclude business travel as required to set up, monitor, organize, and promote the business.

Participate in related professional business organization memberships, agencies, associations and boards as required.

9. Handle day to day operations related to: Sales, Marketing, Operations, Strategic Planning, Human Resources, Quality Assurance, Information Systems, Logistics, Customer Service, General and Administrative.

NOT DIRECTLY handled by this position:

1. financial, accounting, budget and fiscal strategies

2. control, monitoring, administration, programming, updating or technical servicing of the IT department website or related hardware or software

Currently, the position is part time and the applicant shall serve as an independent contractor. The position is interim for a period of three months and will either increase or decrease in responsibility depending on results obtained by you and further developments planned.

If measurable results are obtained after three months, migration into a more classic employee position with fixed income and executive benefit package can be discussed directly with the CEO.

Such results will be measured by a development plan agreed upon the CEO and you.

Experience required:

Business management;

web/sales/auto industry related, at least 10 years

(Knowledge of independent or franchise car dealerships would be great);

Public communications.

Languages: English + one foreign language (Spanish or French preferred)
