Assistant Marketing Manager (Miami, Florida)

Our client is seeking a junior marketing professional with a proven track record in marketing or advertising, with experience in marketing research and analysis. The position is based inside of the company headquarters in Miami, Florida and will require a person that is capable of working within a small team environment yet also capable of interacting with all levels of their media businesses throughout Latin America. The candidates’s success will be determined by their ability to develop creative ongoing research, analysis, and presentation of marketing findings that can be turned into actionable strategies.
Primary Responsibilities and Main Deliverables of this Position:
- Responsible for analyzing industry data, internal reports and primary research to produce insights and further develop existing and create new marketing strategies
- Provide audience and industry with competitor intelligence to be used by all departments
- Provide on-going insights on all relevant competitive developments and market dynamics,
- Perform cross-tab analysis using KMR Quest/TGI and Ipsos software to obtain detailed consumer profiles
- Transform data into Power Point presentations and Excel charts to be used by all departments
- Coordinate and communicate with counterparts in the different media partners media sales companies to develop updated knowledge of their internal strategies
- Manage Ad-hoc project requests from sales team
- Develop and manage promotional campaigns to promote GDA and increase awareness
- Identify additional sales opportunities
- Support tracking and analysis of marketing programs for effectiveness
- Execute timely, high quality development and production of marketing materials, including promotional items, collateral, and trade show materials
- Coordinate conference participation including floor presence, demo opportunities and promotional giveaways
- Maintain logos and marketing artwork
- Maintain files of publications for advertising contact information
- Manage or support other marketing and administrative projects as needed
Candidate’s Desired Background:
Product Marketing or Advertising Experience:
- Prior experience in a Marketing or Advertising role.
- At least 2-3 years of experience performing marketing research analysis.
- Must possess strong analytical skills with the proven ability to interpret data and strong proficiency in reporting data.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills with a strong focus on detail and accuracy.
Technical Background:
- Proven computer proficiency with windows, MS Office: Excel, Power Point, Word, Internet Explorer and Outlook.
- Experience with Ibope (Markdata workstation) and TGI (KMR Quest) is a plus.
Position Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Proven ability to effectively develop and deliver business presentations in both English or Spanish languages
- Ability to manage and communicate with multiple personalities with the ability to manage difficult situations with ease and diplomacy
- Capable of working successfully with and without direction or supervision
- Must be a team player who can also work independently, when necessary
- Must be able to work in a high volume and detail oriented work environment
- A self-starter and motivated person who is also capable of motivated others
Languages:
- Must be completely bilingual in English and Spanish (both written and verbal)
- Trilingual in English/Spanish and Portuguese a strong plus
Education:
- A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree (BA/BS) is required for the position. A related Master degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus
